Q: What is the difference between DocuSign Ink and DocuSign?
A: DocuSign Ink is a “Personal Electronic Signature” service designed to be used by everyone on personal, day-to-day signing transactions. With DocuSign Ink you can sign any document sent to you as an email attachment, PDF form, or as a document stored in cloud services such as Box.net or DropBox.
In other words, DocuSign Ink is for signing a document and DocuSign is for the signing AND sending of documents.
Q: I am not able to register. I keep getting the error "We are unable to verify your information".
A: If your last name has a hyphen, remove the hyphen and do not use spaces between the names. To verify your NRDS number, visit NAR’s website:
Q: I registered for DocuSign at www.docusign.com/mred and can sign in at www.docusign.com, but I cannot send forms from connectMLS™. I get the error message that there was a problem sending the forms and to contact the Help Desk.
A: This is an indication that you have existing personal accounts with DocuSign. Contact DocuSign support to cancel or merge any existing accounts with your MRED corporate account. Call Toll Free: 866-219-4318.
Q: I am trying to register for DocuSign with MRED, but it's telling me my account is already active?
A: This means you have an existing personal account with DocuSign registered to the same email address. If you would like to cancel that account, contact DocuSign support to do so and then you will be able to register for a corporate account with MRED. Call Toll Free: 866-219-4318.
NOTE: if you have envelopes in your existing account that you would like transferred to your MRED account, there are few more steps to be taken.
1. Go to www.docusign.com/mred and register for an MRED DocuSign account with a different email address.
2. Contact DocuSign support to merge your accounts. Toll Free 866-219-4318.
3. Once your accounts have been merged, sign into your DocuSign account and update your email address in “Preferences”.
Q: I am trying to upload forms in DocuSign, but getting an error message that my account is suspended.
A: At the top of your DocuSign window, click on your Account Number to switch accounts. In this case, you have an existing account with DocuSign that is no longer active. Contact DocuSign support to cancel and remove this account. Call Toll Free 866-219-4318.
