Please make sure to verify ALL of the information you enter into your listings in connectMLS™.
 
It may not be a bad idea to have someone else proof what you enter before activating it.  Since January 1 of this year, MRED has corrected or sent notices on 2,943 listings with incorrect pin numbers.  Safe to say almost every one of these could go away if agents proofed their listings.
   
Hot Tip #2
 
If the property type for your listing is "Attached", input the lot dimensions in connectMLS™ as common, condo or integral.
 
"Lot dimensions" is a required field, so putting one of these in takes care of this field for properties that don't have lot dimensions to enter.
 
Hot Tip #3
 
You have seventy-two (72) hours to enter a listing or change a status on a listing in connectMLS™.
 
A number of your fellow real estate professionals asked us to put this friendly reminder in this week's Tips.  Happy to oblige!  Remember, we're not talking business hours; the 72 hours includes weekends and holidays.  If you don't comply in 72 hours, you are subject to a fine.
 
Clarification:
 
Last week, we informed you that from MRED's perspective we will accept a property in the system that is co-listed by an agent from another office.  However, some company policies state that a co-lister may only be another agent in your office or company.  Please check with your managing broker.
 
We've added language to our communications reminding everybody that we address MRED issues in our communications, but cannot possibly take into account the differing policies each of your offices has.  You need to be aware of and mindful of those policies.
