If it's HERS, why not HIS?
 
The Home Energy Rating System (HERS) is a method that uses a certified third-party rater to test a home's efficiency. Scores provide perspective about how the home performs against specific benchmarks. Appraisers often look for a HERS score when appraising a green home. The higher the score, the more energy the home uses.
 
A new ENERGY STAR home usually has a HERS score around 80. A Net Zero has a HERS score of 0 because it is designed not to use any energy! For this reason, it is important to skip this field rather than enter a 0 if you do not have a score.

Speaking of Green, less is more!
 
The number of searchable green fields in connectMLSTM is deliberately limited. Searchable fields are focused on details that can be verified by a third-party. This discourages green washing (making something sound more eco-friendly than it really is).
 
If the listing agent wants to detail green features, they can complete the Sustainable Real Estate Alliance (SREA) Green Disclosure Form, which is found in connectMLSTM under Forms > MRED Listing Forms, and upload it against their listing.

You can select and register for MRED 
Training Classes on

Just log in and clock on the Training tab. That will take you to the Training home page, and right at the top you can search for classes, select those you want to attend and register. As always, MRED training is FREE.
