Each year for the past six years, REAL Trends and The Wall Street Journal have created a ranking of the nation's top residential real estate sales professionals, both for teams and individuals. We take great care each year to provide an accurate ranking, which is now known as The Thousand, so that these professionals can receive recognition from a trusted source for their achievements.
I am contacting you through MRED as you have been identified as a top producing real estate professional who may be interested in applying for this recognition. Our goal is to be sure that every single sales professional who qualifies for this invaluable ranking is at the least made aware of the opportunity. To accomplish this, REAL Trends communicates with every national network, most all multi-office brokerage firms, and through a variety of other sources.
We believe The Thousand is a better ranking each year because of the growing participation, yet we know that there remain professionals who are unaware of the ranking who would likely wish to take part.
In 2013, for the first time, we plan to rank leading sales professionals in the Major Metropolitan Statistical Areas of the U.S. and by State as well so we would like all qualifying sales associates and teams to submit. Even if they do not make the final ranking of The Thousand they may still appear on our rankings within major MSAs and by State.
The minimum qualifications for 2013 submissions are listed below:
2012 Closed Transaction Sides - 50
2012 Closed Sales Volume - $20,000,000
2012 Closed Transaction Sides - 75
2012 Closed Sales Volume - $30,000,000
In 2013, there is a $35 per individual or team application fee.

As I mentioned before, our goal is at the least to do everything we can to make all top sales professionals aware of this opportunity. I appreciate you considering this. My best wishes for your continued success in 2013 and beyond.
