Getting a listing in Chicago?
All detached, attached and 2-4 unit properties in the City of Chicago are required by the Municipal Code of Chicago to disclose utility costs to prospective purchasers.
Starting TODAY (Wednesday, June 26), MRED has added four fields to the listing input for Chicago properties:
All you need to do is click on the "Lookup Estimates" links (on the right), enter the Utility Account numbers (which you get from the seller), and the system will call out to MyHomeEQ to get the appropriate data for Gas and/or Electricity costs. A PDF of the Disclosure of Utility Costs will be created for download, attaching to your listing and presenting to possible buyers.
Your listing sheet will have the utility costs information on them as shown below:
New Listing Input forms for Detached, Attached and 2-4 Unit property types have been uploaded to MREDLLC.com and connectMLSTM to accommodate the integration of this new utility cost data.
If you list properties in Chicago, set aside six minutes and watch this video, which has all the details.
